DWDM-Services Maximum bandwidth and best transmission quality

With the use of state-of-the-art DWDM systems (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing), Axpo Systems offers its customers the possibility of simultaneous transmission of several broadband communication connections via a single light wave connection. The transmission capacity can be increased almost indefinitely with the DWDM method. On the one hand, larger distances can be overcome with this method, and on the other hand, the data rates of signal and message transmission are individual and cost-optimised. On our modern infrastructure, up to 80 channels with a bandwidth of 200 Gbit/s can currently be transmitted.

High performance connections

Axpo Systems' DWDM services are part of a crisis-proof data network. Our offer is primarily aimed at security authorities and organisations as well as private and public companies with an increased need for security, flexibility and performance. Thanks to the dedicated connections (redundant line routing along the entire route) with the options Equipment Protection, Path Protection or Equipment and Path Protection, we can guarantee very high availability. In addition, the optical latency of the system is both calculated and measured. Our infrastructure is state of the art and is regularly maintained and updated. We provide our customers with a wide range of services, protocols and interfaces.

Your benefits

  1. High-quality transmission capacities over long distances
  2. High availability through redundancies in the backbone and comprehensive network monitoring
  3. Low latency times
  4. Short switching times in the event of faults

Wavelength division multiplexing

Multiplexing is a method of signal and message transmission in which several signals are combined and transmitted simultaneously. Wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) is an optical frequency multiplexing method used for transmitting data via fibre optic cables. With the so-called dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM), the wavelengths (spectral colours) used for transmission in the fibre optic cable are particularly close to each other. The method is most often used to combine signals from the third optical window (1,550 nm) and transmit them over long distances.
